Project1542 Audio log

Wanted to share something we have been working on, it does not have any filters limiters or anything like that so be careful if you have a big sound system. It progressive, edgy, and another monster of a track (almost 16min). We have almost 7 more min in midi and drums and bass that has yet to be added on. Oh did I mention that we are using a guitar to mid USB plug (sonuus i2M musicport) that has come out very nice you will notice it if you listen real hard, however there is lots that is dubbed and quantized… get it right here

As tribute to the style of music he has played I have made a 20 min song out of a song he has made called I Know your Pain.... Sounds like a mix of happy hardcore and trance hybrid of something that is quite out there...There should be a video not far off........enjoy!!

So how are we going to complete the monumental task of putting a man/woman in space, the answer? Note on mastering

This song has lots of compressors, fades, synths, however most of all its bright and you can hear the instruments separated, moved away from each other in there own pocket. Fx and mastering has changed those muddy notes and brighten them up, for space. It takes time and effort but the result in nice.... and we are only learning. After a steep learning curve..pretty much bashing heads against walls..to reproduce sounds in Cubase 5 that are factory shipped in Ableton Live we have achieved some. It probably does not sound like the effort that has been put in to this song is in fact countless hours huddled over Ableton live waching tutorials ect , however it has been all of that. What saved us in the end is fabfilter (www.fabfilter.com) expensive suite of filters that does the same as what Ableton does built right in, what it saved though is the ability to create those memorable peak times in music. So how have we done......I am first to say that it still needs lots of work, on the other hand trying to recreate a hole genera of music has been a task, so for now take a listen to Absinthe of light 10-24-2012 and tell us how we have done. More versions to come very soon..along with lots of other stuff, for now a small break................................

Long time since the last post..coming back with something fantastic

After various equipment and computer upgrades it seems like it has been so long. Equipment added to the Project1542 Studio: Axiom Pro 49, ProjectMix I/O also M-Audio, Novation Launchpad (3), APC20 from Akai, Ableton live suite, Physical ReFx Nexus 2, Audix DP7 Drum mic kit, various other computer upgrades and one replaced HDD (only 2 years old :(  ). So what was the point of all   of this....? Its really all about bringing all the things that we love in the studio, out and on the stage. Are we ready live...... it needs some work. Ableton live is massive and there is so much great stuff you can do with it all of it live, on the down side midi cables all over hell and so many drivers and settings it will make you head twirl. 5 weeks down the line things are setting in, midi controllers are becoming like 2nd hands and things are getting easier, on that note here is the latest song (working on it right now) Absinthe of light

Music Comments: The music here is prog rock and free-range electro-fare. "Flying in the Sky" is a psychedelic wonder with its soft auto-tune and lightly recorded vocals. Other highlights are "Reflection of a Soul", an acoustic melody with raw rock notes, and the weirdly melodic "Give the people what they want" - a super unique blend of guitar chords and fun, trippy notes.

Songs are loaded, graphics art and page layout seems to be working fine. If they would only let expand the background image larger, it would look like project1542 site! However it does look good for the moment, and also seems functional for selling songs and other Project1542 related information. The next problem is the song limit, Ex Atrum In Lux Lucis(web) was 19 tracks so we did have to rummage out some good a bad tracks.  Track list for the new CD is set back a couple of days but it will be here. I am still currently working on the summer Project1542 electronic compilation 15min song...... and I am working, time ? possibly a day 4 at the most. New problems for the week ahead.......... So we have decided to keep doing the nightly builds until we get sick of them. Because we are delving into unknown territory we think this is going to be a nightly build thing. At least for a little bit. If you are listening this is the Project1542 cutting room floor, and we will not stop until something amazing comes out. For tonight guitar has been redone, working on synth automation among other things. Its good but the drums need to come around. You can really see were we are going with this though. Spacey and far out to say the least, that has been the type of music we are going for. To be assimilated or to assume the culture:

Cultural assimilation

Are you are the person that wants to change, change all things. Are you the person that has the introspective eye, of difference and love of difference ideas great or small?  Your culture thus far has brought you so far away from mainstream ideas. Is this a virtue something within you, or have walked far from deviance. Have you taken the blue pill for blissful mind and true to the rules that they have set before you? Have you taken the red pill for the painful truth, where none of us can seek shelter in knowledge? I ask you, yes! Each of you, are the two paths the ones that are real? Because the task of organization bureaucratization is following its own order without malice or discontent, it does not have eyes or a mouth or a breath, it only survives on information. What you do, what you like, your short browse at night it wants to consume all whom will talk to it. Then it will know what is you, it will categorize you, and you will be just one of a small group. A small group of ideas and that is all that it will know, but who will be the one to read it. There will be one who will control this information, and it will judge if you will is one, or if is part of the collective. It will have its own desires and take what it needs. There will be no pleading or asks of please. So will you join the group of the blissful collective, or take the red pill and join the look at the world in true eyes, sacred or profane.  The answer….. you must join because there is nowhere to hide, it will know everything that is you. There will be no true red or blue pill, you existence will only be assimilated. Shure you can fight you can run and hide, but the new world will come, and in the end you will only be part of the solution or the problem to the one who that has the question. In Cultural assimilation it is only time before the minority is devoured.
